What's the main differences between loose fill
safety surfaces and solid, bound rubber safety
surfaces?
1. TRULY (ask a wheel chair user if they would
rather have shredded wood!) accessible.
2. Meets ASTM F1292-96 without continual maintenance.
3. Reduces liability exposure because there will
not be ASTM F1292 failure between replenishments.
4. Cleaner than loose fill.
5. More colorful and aesthetically pleasing than
loose fill.
6. Potentially safer than loose fill because broken
glass or other sharp objects cannot be buried
within it.
7. Dries quicker than loose fill.
8. Cannot be thrown or swallowed nor will it adhere
to clothing.
9. Does not become saturated with water and then
frozen solid in the winter.
10. Less potential for injury due to falls than
loose fill.
